Long-time Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado has addressed the swirling rumors about her potential network transfer, expressing her gratitude for her 20-year tenure with GMA Network and confirming ongoing contract renewal discussions.
During a brand launch event, Mercado clarified her current standing with GMA Network and denied receiving offers from other networks. She emphasized her ongoing loyalty to the Kapuso family.
“Sa GMA, sa ngayon, wala pa po. Pero meron kaming lalabas movie ni Dennis [Trillo] kasama si Sam [Milby] under CreaZion, wala pa pong target date pero this year lalabas. Sa GMA, siyempre, palagi naman akong Kapuso,” Mercado stated.
Reflecting on her career, she added, “Maraming nag-aantay ng sagot and ako naman, 20 years na akong Kapuso. I’m very thankful na hanggang ngayon, ako ay Kapuso pa rin.”
Mercado confirmed that contract renewal negotiations with GMA Network are in progress and expressed optimism about their outcome. “Meron pang nine-nego pero mabilis na lang po ‘yan. We’re just waiting for the contract pero happy pa rin ako maging Kapuso. Basta gusto pa rin nila ako, di ba?”
“Pinag-uusapan pa pero sa ngayon, kung gusto nila akong maging Kapuso, happy ako na maging Kapuso.”
Addressing rumors about offers from other networks, Mercado and her managers firmly denied such claims. “Wala po, wala pong offer ng ibang network,” she confirmed.

Mercado also acknowledged working on a freelance basis, affirming her flexibility in accepting various projects.
Speculations about her transferring to ABS-CBN were fueled by her absence in GMA Network’s station ID. Her manager, Becky Aguila, earlier refuted these rumors, attributing her absence to a scheduling conflict.
In addition to her ongoing projects, Jennylyn Mercado is the official ambassador for Beautéderm’s newest facial care line, ThreemendousTRIO serums. Mercado and Beautéderm CEO Rei Anicoche Tan expressed their excitement about finally collaborating, having first discussed the partnership two years ago.
