Jennylyn Mercado has defended her husband, actor Dennis Trillo, following a hacking incident that sparked controversy online.
The actress addressed the issue during a recent event for one of her endorsements.
Speaking to ’24 Oras,’ Jennylyn admitted she was initially unaware of the hacking and only learned about it through her management team.
Earlier this month, Dennis found himself at the center of attention after a reply on his TikTok account to a fan’s question about Jennylyn’s absence from GMA Network’s new station ID went viral. The response, “May ABS pa ba?” ignited debates among fans of the rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA Network.
Dennis’ management, Aguila Entertainment, promptly clarified that the actor’s TikTok account had been hacked. Dennis himself reiterated his respect for ABS-CBN, where he began his career, and denied any malice towards the network.

“Ayokong magpaapekto dahil hindi naman totoo ‘yung mga naririnig ko, mga nabasa kong comments dahil siyempre, na-hack nga ‘yung account ko,” Dennis said in an interview with GMA Network reporter Nelson Canlas. He added, “Sa 20 years, sabay tayo sa industriya na ito, wala po akong naging kaaway, wala akong pinagsalitaan ng masama. Wala po akong anything against ABS-CBN.
Jennylyn humorously advised Dennis to strengthen his passwords to prevent future incidents.
