Rumors surrounding Jennylyn Mercado’s potential move from GMA Network to ABS-CBN have been dispelled, as confirmed by sources from both networks.
These speculations first surfaced in March when the singer-actress recorded songs with Star Music for her upcoming album.
Jennylyn’s management, Aguila Entertainment, had already denied the rumors. However, her absence from the recent GMA Network Station ID shoot reignited the speculation. Jennylyn’s manager, Becky Aguila, firmly stated that Jennylyn remains committed to GMA Network, emphasizing her loyalty as a homegrown talent.
Contrary to netizens’ claims that negotiations for Jennylyn’s transfer fell through, Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi addressed the topic in their ‘Showbiz Update’ vlog on YouTube.
Maria from ABS).”
Ogie further clarified that any rumors of an offer from Dreamscape Entertainment to Jennylyn were unfounded.
With the launch of Jennylyn’s new album with Star Music approaching, Aguila Entertainment’s general manager, Jan Enriquez, hinted at exciting developments. He tweeted on June 28, “Kalma lang bessies. We have Jennylyn’s best interest in mind and we have big plans for her. Unfortunately we can’t disclose every step we make but we hope to make some announcements soon.”
