The Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime” continued its consistent victory over its rival “EAT…Bulaga,” even overshadowing the latter’s first anniversary on TV5.
According to the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, “It’s Showtime” scored a significant win against “EAT…Bulaga,” outshining its anniversary episode.
On Monday, July 1, “It’s Showtime” achieved a rating of 8.0 percent, surpassing “EAT…Bulaga,” which garnered 3.5 percent.
Even when comparing their ratings on a single channel, “It’s Showtime” still came out on top with a 5.7 percent rating on GMA Network, while “EAT…Bulaga” scored 3.2 percent on TV5.
With this result, it seems “It’s Showtime” has truly captured the attention of Filipino viewers, disrupting the long-standing reign of “EAT…Bulaga” in the noontime slot.
Moreover, “It’s Showtime” has maintained its dominance during weekday noontime slots.
On Monday, June 24, “It’s Showtime” scored 7.8 percent, taking the number 8 spot on the overall ratings chart, beating “EAT…Bulaga’s” 3.6 percent at number 14.
On Tuesday, June 25, “It’s Showtime” rose to the number 7 position with an 8.5 percent rating, 4.7 percent higher than “EAT…Bulaga’s” 3.8 percent.
On Wednesday, June 26, “It’s Showtime” slightly decreased by 0.5 percent to 8.0 percent but still led “EAT…Bulaga” by 4.6 percent, which scored 3.4 percent.
On Thursday, June 27, the Kapamilya noontime show quickly recovered, rising to 8.9 percent, 5.3 percent higher than “EAT…Bulaga’s” 3.6 percent.
