ABS-CBN’s primetime action-drama series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)” has emerged as the last Kapamilya show standing in the primetime ratings race.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, FPJBQ is now the sole Kapamilya teleserye dominating its timeslot, holding the torch for ABS-CBN in the primetime ratings battle. While the rest of the primetime slots are now taken over by Kapuso prime series.
On Monday, June 24, the Coco Martin-led series achieved a rating of 14.4 percent, securing the overall number 2 spot on the ratings chart. Its competitor, “Black Rider,” scored 12.6 percent, placing third.
The following day, Tuesday, June 25, FPJBQ climbed to the number 1 spot with a rating of 15.0 percent, 3.6 percent higher than “Black Rider,” which maintained a rating of 12.6 percent.
On Wednesday, June 26, FPJBQ held its top ranking with a rating of 16.0 percent, comfortably outpacing “Black Rider,” which registered 13.3 percent.
Thursday, June 27, saw the Kapamilya primetime series strengthen its lead at number 1, increasing its rating to 16.1 percent, 3.0 percent ahead of “Black Rider’s” 13.1 percent.
By Friday, June 28, FPJBQ remained the overall number 1 program in the country, though its rating decreased to 14.4 percent, still leading “Black Rider” by 1.9 percent at 12.5 percent.
For the week starting Monday, July 1, FPJBQ continued to defend ABS-CBN’s top position, maintaining a rating of 14.4 percent against “Black Rider’s” 12.3 percent.
On Tuesday, July 2, FPJBQ sustained its number 1 status with a rating surge to 16.5 percent, 4.2 percent higher than “Black Rider’s” 12.3 percent.
Finally, on Wednesday, July 3, FPJBQ reached a new all-time high rating of 17.1 percent, widening its lead over “Black Rider,” which posted 12.2 percent.
