During the recent press conference following the private screening of their film ‘Moro,’ actor Baron Geisler took a moment to express his deep gratitude towards co-actor Piolo Pascual.
Geisler credited Pascual for playing a pivotal role in revitalizing his career and providing him with a significant “movie break” in Philippine cinema.
“I wanna thank Mr. Piolo Pascual we shot this nung 2019, this is my first big break in Philippine cinema. “I prayed for a miracle. After a few months of fervently praying, God answered it with a call from direk Brillante Mendoza. Sabi niya, ‘O Baron may gagawin tayong pelikula magkapatid kayo ni Piolo pag-aralan mo ‘to.’ Sabi ko, ‘Sige po, direk.’”
Geisler recounted his intensive preparation for the role, spending two months in Davao immersing himself in the character. “Two months ako nag-immerse. He’s so busy daw hindi niya magagawa.
Meeting Pascual on set was a significant moment for Geisler. “So dumating kami sa set. Nagkita kami ni Mr. Piolo Pascual and you know I can’t thank you enough I’m so grateful bro to be part of this film and pinagbigyan mo ako na magka-break sa industriya. And after that nagsimula na akong kunin sa mga bigger projects. So thank you so much and to direk Brillante also,” Geisler expressed with gratitude.
