GMA Network public service show ‘Si Manoy Ang Ninong Ko’ is set to return with a new season, promising to captivate audiences with inspiring stories of resilience, unity, and the enduring Filipino spirit of bayanihan.
The new season premieres this Sunday, offering viewers more profound narratives from various regions across the Philippines.
Hosted by TV personality Gelli De Belen, former businessman-turned-public servant Manoy Wilbert T. Lee, and former beauty queen Patricia Tumulak, ‘Si Manoy Ang Ninong Ko’ continues its mission to shed light on the challenges faced by Filipinos and highlight the collective efforts that uplift communities nationwide.
Joining the core hosts this season are guest hosts Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Luigi Gomez and Kapuso actress Andrea Torres. Their unique perspectives and dedication to public service add depth to the program’s already compelling lineup.
“Whatever problems we are facing, we can get through them with a little help from the community and our countrymen, who, deep down, care about others,” said Manoy Wilbert T. Lee.
Gelli De Belen emphasized the importance of providing sustainable support, stating, “The help that the beneficiaries of the show need goes beyond the usual food or financial aid. What they need is something that will really help them earn a living and sustain them in the long run.”
Patricia Tumulak, who undertakes weekly “missions” and interacts personally with the subjects, noted, “Sometimes they just want to feel seen and heard. Listening to them is already a form of help. But of course, we don’t stop there. We thoroughly study their cases and try to provide solutions for their concerns.”
