Ryzza Mae Dizon celebrated her 19th birthday with a special “debut” organized by her ‘Eat Bulaga’ family, coinciding with Philippine Independence Day on June 12.
Initially expecting a routine dance number for the show’s opening, the ‘Little Miss Philippines 2012’ winner was taken aback when a group of cotillion dancers suddenly appeared on stage, surrounding her. Adding to the surprise, actress Miles Ocampo presented Ryzza with a yellow ball gown skirt.
Known affectionately as “Aling Maliit” on the show, Ryzza was visibly emotional as she was joined by Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, Joey de Leon, and Vic Sotto, who each danced with her while holding red roses. Ryzza’s brothers, Ken and Nathan, also participated in the cotillion dance performance.
The celebration held special significance as Ryzza had not been able to have a traditional debut on ‘Eat Bulaga’ last year due to the show’s temporary hiatus starting June 12, 2023. The show later resumed on July 1, 2023, after moving to TV5.
Last year, Ryzza herself did not mark her debut, making this surprise from ‘Eat Bulaga’ all the more touching for her.
Amidst the festivities, Ryzza received numerous gifts from her co-hosts, including a lavish Chanel bag from Maine Mendoza. Atasha Muhlach also contributed to the festivities by presenting Ryzza with a family portrait featuring a large framed photo of Ryzza with her crush, Andres Muhlach, alongside Andres’ parents, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach. Tash’s gift was completed with a framed photo of Ryzza and Andres, which brought immense joy to everyone present.
Ryzza’s 19th birthday celebration on ‘Eat Bulaga’ was a poignant and unforgettable event, filled with surprises and cherished moments shared with her ‘Eat Bulaga’ family and friends.
