ABS-CBN’s newest primetime family thriller drama, ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ premiered last week with lower-than-expected ratings but achieved impressive online viewership.
According to the latest ratings from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the teleserye starring Piolo Pascual, Kyle Echarri, and Grae Fernandez fell short against its competitor, ‘My Guardian Alien (MGA).’
On its pilot episode on Monday, June 17, ‘Pamilya Sagrado’ recorded a rating of 7.2 percent, securing the number 9 spot on the overall ratings chart. In contrast, MGA achieved a higher rating of 9.4 percent, earning the sixth spot on the ratings board.
Although ‘Pamilya Sagrado’ did not lead in its timeslot in the ratings race, it triumphed in online viewership, registering 443,269 peak live concurrent views on Kapamilya Online Live’s YouTube channel and garnering multiple trending topics on social media.

In the over-one-hour-long pilot episode, the first meeting between Kyle and Grae’s characters, Moises and Justin, was shown. After a near-accident where Justin almost hit Moises with his car, the two quickly became friends. The episode also gave a glimpse of the corrupt tendencies of Gov. Rafael Sagrado, played by Piolo, who is Justin’s father.
