Hashtag member Nikko Natividad has sparked controversy following his comments that appeared to criticize Vice Ganda, resulting in calls for his removal from the hit series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’
The issue began when Natividad posted on Facebook, seemingly addressing the recent incident involving Vice Ganda and contestants Axel Cruz and Cristine during the ‘EXpecially for You’ segment on ‘It’s Showtime.’ Although he did not mention Vice Ganda by name, it was clear who he was referring to.
Natividad’s post read: “Ipagpalagay na natin na bebeso talaga yung lalaki. Hindi naman niya intensyon manyakin sa live ‘yung babae. Ang mali lang niya ay hindi niya alam na need pala muna magpaalam bago bumeso. Na-offend man siya alam ko na mapapatawad niya ‘yung lalaki. Sobra lang kasi napahiya ‘yung lalaki na sasabihan pa na tatadyakan at pwede kasuhan.”
He continued, “Naaawa ako sa dalawang contestant. Gusto lang nila ma-experience at ng exposure pero sobrang trauma ‘yung nakuha nila. Lalagyan lang niya ng charot sa dulo lulusot na ‘yan.”
These remarks did not sit well with Vice Ganda’s supporters, who quickly criticized Natividad. Many reminded him that he gained much of his fame from ‘It’s Showtime’ and Vice Ganda’s support.
The backlash escalated to calls for Natividad’s removal from ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ especially on social media. An X-user posted, “Petition for Nikko Natividad to be REMOVED from Batang Quiapo show of Vice Ganda’s Bestfriend COCO MARTIN trewwww?”

Given the close friendship between Coco Martin and Vice Ganda, some speculated that Martin might act in support of his friend. However, there has been no official response from Martin on the matter.
Natividad’s controversial post has since been deleted, but not before it was widely shared. Critics questioned his decision to remove the post, with some suggesting he might have realized the inappropriateness of his comments, especially considering Vice Ganda’s previous support.

Interestingly, Vice Ganda no longer follows Natividad on Instagram, a stark contrast to when Natividad was a favorite among the Hashtags members.
