Miel Pangilinan, the daughter of actress Sharon Cuneta and politician Kiko Pangilinan, has publicly addressed online trolls who have been targeting her appearance with hurtful comments.
In a recent TikTok post, Miel shared a selfie video in which she made playful poses. The video included text that read: “Old people calling me a waste of genes, constantly harassing me and insulting my appearance (I didn’t do anything and if I say something they’ll call me the sensitive one!).” The lower text added: “Trying to just kind of exist positively online and trying my best to stay in my lane.”
In the caption, she noted, “‘Gen Z are so sensitive’ I’m a fat gay person just existing snowflakes!”
Her post received strong support from TikTok users. One user commented, “LET ME COME FOR THEM!!!! I’ll fight them for you,” while another stated, “Nah fr they call us sensitive but most of the time their comments are so unhinged.”

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Miel shared that she has grown accustomed to negative comments and has learned to filter them out. She recalled that the harshest comment she received was being called a “waste of genes.” Reflecting on the experience, she said, “It’s weird that I get those comments. And a lot of those came from people who don’t even know me.”
Miel also recently spoke about the cyber libel suit her parents filed against showbiz insider Cristy Fermin. She mentioned that Fermin had spread numerous false statements about their family, which led to a significant amount of negative comments directed at her and her siblings.
