Kapamilya stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings are eagerly preparing to introduce their new “MaThon” characters in an upcoming film, hoping fans will embrace them as much as they did the “SnoRene” tandem from the hit series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’
“Excited kami sa gagawin together. Basta! As in it is something pasabog talaga. Abangan niyo po. Grabe din preparations namin. Workshops kami…Excited kami doon. I can say minahal kami ng mga tao bilang SnoRene, feel ko mamahalin pa kami ng mga tao sa bagong characters namin kasi nakakatawa,” Racal teased during an interview at Novotel Hotel, Quezon City, where they were launched as the latest endorsers for Mang Inasal on Saturday, June 29.
The film, directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, will showcase the pair in a different light, according to the two stars.
“Iba naman to. Ibang tao, ibang characters. Excited. Dedicated na kami,” Jennings said.
“It is something exciting. Different talaga. Different from SnoRene,” Racal added.
While acknowledging the pressure that comes with being the “breakthrough” love team of the year, both stars are grateful and focused on fulfilling their new roles.
“Thankful kami. Parehas tayo nagugulat sa mga dumadating. Kahit ako di makapaniwala sa blessings. More than pressured, excited. Focused on project and focused sa trabaho. Magawa mo ng maayos at masaya. If ganon energy mo mag-reflect naman iyon,” Racal said.
Jennings echoed her sentiment, saying they are ready to face new challenges. “Handa naman kaming dalawa,” he said.
