The year has been shaping up to be a very busy one for ABS-CBN, but the return of a number of royalties is what will make it unforgettable.
If you think the Asian Drama King, Jericho Rosales returning to doing a Kapamilya teleserye, again, after six years, is the biggest comeback ABS-CBN will see this year, you’re awfully wrong.
Okay, Lavender Fields, the upcoming Dreamscape Entertainment-produced action drama, and co-starred by Janine Gutierrez and Jodi Sta. Maria, is definitely a show to watch out for, but you can’t afford to focus your excitement solely on it, despite being marketed as the ‘grandest teleserye of the year’.
This Monday, June 17, the Ultimate Leading Man, Piolo Pascual, makes his highly-anticipated teleserye comeback, via Pamilya Sagrado.
You definitely should not skip on Judy Ann Santos, the Philippine Queen of Teleserye, coming back to acting, via the drama-thriller, Bag Man, which is slated for an international release. The show marks the first time Santos is appearing again on a major TV series, after 2019’s Starla.
The year is also expected to see Anne Curtis’ going back to starring in a TV series. This time, she is partnered with talented actors, Carlo Aquino and Joshua Garcia. The series, which is an adaptation of the Korean global hit, It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, is projected to be among the biggest TV adaptations of 2024.
Confirmed to star in an upcoming ABS-CBN drama, are Megastar, Sharon Cuneta, and Julia Montes. The two have already worked together via FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, but this will be the first time the two will topbill the same series.
While there is no confirmation yet, rumors swirl that Nadine Lustre, is also set to return to ABS-CBN, via a still undisclosed project.
In film, blockbuster loveteam, KathDen, featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, reunite via the Hello, Love, Goodbye sequel, Hello, Love, Again, a film expected to wreck records at the box office. The phenomenal box office superstar, Vice Ganda, is also set for an MMFF comeback, via And The Bread Winner is…, which she co-stars with fellow It’s Showtime host, Jhong Hilario.
