Actress Miles Ocampo remains undeterred by public scrutiny over her weight, including remarks made by veteran host Joey de Leon.
At 26, Ocampo is grateful for her journey and the strength she’s found along the way.
Ocampo’s weight has frequently been a subject of public commentary, particularly following her surgery and radiation treatment. “Aaminin ko po, dumaan po talaga ko ro’n especially after my operation and my radiation, grabe, bloated po talaga. Sobrang depressing ‘yun for me, lalo na ang trabaho natin, kailangan lagi tayong presentable, maganda ang weight natin,” Ocampo revealed.
She explained that her weight fluctuations are due to her medication. Sabi ko, as long as ginagawa ko ng tama ang trabaho ko.”
Addressing the recent incident where Joey de Leon’s jokes about her weight drew backlash, Ocampo clarified she was not offended.
“Sa dabarkads, bawal ang pikon,” she said.
So wala pong problema.”

Ocampo also shared her excitement about being cast as the lead in TV5 and APT Entertainment’s new teleserye, ‘Padyak Princess.’
Ocampo was emotional during her launch as the star of ‘Padyak Princess,’ produced by TV5, APT Entertainment, and Cignal TV. The show is set to premiere on June 10 on TV5, just before ‘Eat Bulaga.’
