The beloved children’s comedy show ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ is gearing up for its comeback on free television starting July 1, showcasing a fresh batch of talented young stars.
ABS-CBN News recently had an exclusive sneak peek at the show’s photoshoot and billboard session, offering a glimpse into the new cast lineup.
Alongside the familiar faces from ‘It’s Showtime’ such as Argus, Jaze, Imogen, Kulot, and Kelsey, the upcoming season introduces several celebrity offspring.
Among them is Lucas Andalio, the nephew of Kapamilya actress Loisa Andalio, and Jordan Lim, the nephew of Daniel Padilla, who returns to the show at the age of 10, now taking on the role of the “kuya” or older brother figure.
Scarlet, daughter of Bugoy Cariño and EJ Laure, will be making her television debut, continuing the legacy started by her father who also began his career on ‘Goin’ Bulilit.’ The inclusion of Scarlet adds a poignant full-circle moment for Cariño, seeing his daughter following in his footsteps.
Joining the ensemble are Jeremiah and Chastity from the hit series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’ Chastity, who looks up to Belle Mariano as her acting role model, praised Belle for her acting skills and ability to portray villainous roles.
Initially planning to cast 20 kids, including the ‘It’s Showtime’ cohort, the production expanded its scope to accommodate 30 young talents due to the overwhelming response from the auditions.
Creator Bobot Mortiz expressed equal excitement as the young stars, anticipating the return of nightly entertainment filled with joy and laughter from Monday to Sunday, preceding ‘TV Patrol’ starting July 1.
