In the June 27 episode of ‘Showbiz Update,’ hosts Ogie Diaz and his co-hosts discussed the issue. “Ang dami kong nababasa. Kasi nag-guest si Carla Abellana sa ‘It’s Showtime’ para i-promote ‘yong ‘Widows’ War’ nila ni Bea Alonzo,” said Ogie Diaz.
“Pero ‘yong ibang netizen, nagtataka. Bakit wala raw si Bea? Banned daw ba si Bea sa ‘It’s Showtime?’” he added, voicing the questions that have been circulating among fans.
Co-host Mama Loi pointed out Bea’s recent appearance with Vice Ganda. “Paano naman, Nay, magiging banned si Bea eh ‘di ba mayroon nga silang picture ni Meme Vice no’ng launch ng Bash Manila na bag?”
Ogie responded, “Goods sila ni Meme.” He suggested that Bea’s absence might be due to scheduling conflicts. “Kaya lang itong guesting sa ‘It’s Showtime’. Hinahanap nga si Bea. Siyempre hindi naman natin alam, baka hindi pumuwede si Bea. Baka may ibang natanguang commitment si Bea,” he speculated.
‘Widows’ War,’ featuring Carla Abellana and Bea Alonzo, is set to premiere this Monday on GMA Prime. The show will take over the timeslot of ‘My Guardian Alien,’ starring Marian Rivera, which concludes this Friday. Both shows are directed by Zig Dulay.
