Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas did not hold back her frustration upon hearing that a Star Cinema representative allegedly pushed to have a news article taken down.
The article discussed potential talks between Aiai and Star Cinema about a possible reunion movie for ‘Tanging Ina.’
Aiai, visibly irritated, shared her confusion and disappointment over why the report needed to be removed. She expressed her feelings during an interview, saying, “May nakarating kasi sa akin na balita na isa raw sa Star Cinema ang gustong ipa-down ‘yong news regarding do’n sa Star Cinema na ‘Tanging Ina’ chuchu.”
“Ako ang dating sa akin, parang na-off ako. Saka parang nagtataka ako, naloloka ako. Bakit parang may pa-down na datingan na gano’n?” she questioned.
So anong masama kung magtanong ako? At saka ano namang masama kung mabalita ‘yon? Masama ba ‘yon? ‘Di ba nagtatanong lang naman ako. Or baka inassume ko lang ito, na ayaw n’yong ma-associate sa akin? Bakit? Pinagkakitaan n’yo naman ako dati sa Star Cinema, ‘di ba? Masama ba ‘yon?”
“At saka sobrang nakapagtataka. Minamaliit n’yo ako, gano’n? So, tama na. O, edi hindi na. ‘Wag na nating gawin… Iba na lang. Ibang pelikula na lang. O, eh ‘di sa inyo na ‘yan!” Aiai exclaimed.
As of now, Star Cinema has not issued any response or statement regarding Aiai’s remarks.
Aiai Delas Alas and Star Cinema have a successful history, especially with the ‘Tanging Ina’ series, showcasing their fruitful collaboration. However, there have been public disputes, such as when Aiai contested Star Cinema’s box office claims in 2015 after she transitioned to GMA Network from ABS-CBN, her network for 15 years.
