Kapuso actor Yasser Marta has stirred up speculation after disclosing his fondness for Claudine Barretto during their time working together on the GMA Prime series ‘Lovers/Liars.’
In a revealing interview segment on the program ‘Sarap Di Ba?’ aired last Saturday, April 27, Marta openly admitted to developing genuine feelings for Barretto, citing her endearing qualities and their close bond on and off-camera.
During the ‘Trip to the Hot Seat’ segment, Marta, prompted by fellow Kapuso artist Liezel Lopez, rated the level of intimacy between him and Claudine, affirming their strong connection with a perfect 10 rating.
“Well, sa closeness namin ni Miss Clau, 10 talaga. Sobrang naging close kami, ginagawa namin yung Lovers/Liars. Talagang, oo. Alam mo yun, ah, pati yung mga anak niya naging friend, kaibigan ko rin talaga,” Marta admitted.
Speaking candidly, Marta expressed his admiration for Claudine’s character and charm, acknowledging that his sentiments for her went beyond mere friendship.
“Ako Miss Mina (Carmina), I’m going to be honest. Totoo, ako naman, yung naramdaman ko at that moment, naging totoo ako, gusto ko rin naman talaga si Claudine. Parang hindi naman siya.. sabi ko, kahit hindi siya si Claudine, kahit naman sinong lalaki, magugustuhan pa rin po siya. Bukod sa mabait, napakalambing, napakabuti ng puso niya,” he shared.
When asked if he developed feelings towards the actress, Marta answered, “Single naman po ako. I guess, siya rin. Ako, siguro na-develop din po ako.”
Despite Marta’s assertions, the nature of their relationship remains speculative, with questions lingering about whether Marta actively pursued Barretto or kept his feelings private.
The revelation has fueled dating rumors, especially given Claudine’s single status following her separation from Raymart Santiago and Marta’s confirmation of his breakup with former girlfriend Kate Valdez in November 2023.
Both Marta and Barretto have yet to address the dating speculation directly. However, their fans and followers are eager to see if their on-screen chemistry will translate into a real-life romance.
