After its resounding success on the online video platform VIU, the Kapamilya adaptation of the Korean romantic-comedy series ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (WWWSK)’ has also started airing on television. How did its pilot episode fare in TV ratings?
Based on the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, WWWSK achieved decent debut ratings, although it did not come close to its competitor, ‘Running Man Philippines (RMP)’ Season 2.
On Saturday, May 25, WWWSK premiered on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and TV5, recording a 4.4 percent rating, securing the number 11 spot on the overall ratings chart. Meanwhile, its rival program, RMP S2, took the overall number-one position with a 12.1 percent rating.
In comparison, WWWSK’s ratings are noticeably lower than that of its predecessor program, ‘The Voice Teens Season 3.’ The Kapamilya reality singing competition posted a rating of 7.0 percent during its pilot episode on February 17 and a 5.3 percent rating on its finale episode on May 19.
Can the Kim Chiu-Paulo Avelino-starrer series improve in the coming days? We’ll see.
Meanwhile, other programs that made it to the top 5 of the overall Saturday ratings chart include ‘Pepito Manaloto’ at number 2 with a rating of 10.4 percent, ‘Magpakailanman’ at number 3 with a rating of 10.1 percent, ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap’ at number 4 with a rating of 9.3 percent, and ’24 Oras Weekend’ at number 5 with a rating of 8.6 percent.
