Celebrity mom Sunshine Cruz shared on April 30 that she and her ex-husband, Cesar Montano, are content with their separation, suggesting that time has healed their wounds.
During a Thiocell event at Limbaga 77 in Quezon City, the mother of three revealed that she and Montano are in a good place, although they do not discuss each other’s personal lives. She even expressed admiration for Montano’s partner, Socorro “Kath” Angeles.
“Wala naman. Hindi naman namin napag-uusapan,” she said. “Basta ako, love na love ko si Kath, ‘yung partner niya.”
The former couple parted ways in 2013 and have since embraced a blended family setup. Cruz acknowledged that co-parenting in such a setup might confuse some people, but she emphasized that they have moved past their issues and are focused on moving forward with their lives.
“Sabi ko nga, actually, there are a lot of people na hindi nila maintindihan. Kasi before, grabe naman talaga ang issues at gulo namin ng ex ko eh. Pero I think talaga lahat ng sugat, kahit naman sugat, magasgasan ka. Kahit anong lalim pa ‘yan, naghihilom, naghi-heal talaga siya,” Cruz reflected.
“So, with us, dapat pa ba akong magreklamo na hindi man nag-last ang relationship namin, I think not bad na rin ang 13 years with him and at the same time, binigyan niya ako ng tatlong mababait at matatalinong mga anak,” said Cruz.
She continued, “‘Yun ang pinaka-importante sa akin. Na hindi man nag-last ‘yung relationship namin, but I had wonderful kids with him. Para sa akin, napaka-blessed and dapat maging grateful na ako. Hindi na dapat mag-focus sa mga kung anong nangyari, tapos na ‘yun eh. Hindi naman na mababalik ‘yon. You just have to focus on the present and ‘yung future.”
Cruz attended the Thiocell event as the brand’s newest ambassador. Thiocell introduced its Thiocelle Glutathione Lozenges, touted as the “first and only glutathione in lozenge form that allows glutathione to be absorbed by the body quickly, safely, and effectively,” as reported in the International Journal of Dermatology.
