The writers of GMA Network’s ‘Black Rider’ took an unconventional approach to welcoming Vivamax star Angeli Khang to the cast—by throwing her into a kissing scene with Ruru Madrid!
During the show’s press conference on April 16, Madrid recalled the surprise he and Khang felt when they were immediately thrust into an intimate scene upon meeting for the first time.
“Actually, nagulat kami noong first time naming mag-meet, kasi sa first-ever na pagkikita namin, kissing scene po agad ang aming ginawa. So iyon na po ang pinaka-bonding moment namin, hahaha. Nagulat na lang ako pagbasa ko ng script may ganito na palang mangyayari,” he shared.
Despite their somewhat unconventional “bonding moment,” Madrid praised Khang for her passion and dedication to becoming a serious actress.
“Well you know, she’s very professional. Nakita ko kung gaano niya rin kamahal ang craft niya. She’s very talented so masaya po kami na nakasama siya sa pamilya ng Black Rider,” the actor complimented.
For Khang, joining the cast of “Black Rider” was a dream come true. Known for her daring portrayals in Vivamax, the actress is excited to showcase her talent in a different genre.
“I’m very thankful, I’m very happy. Sobrang nakakataba po ng puso, another genre naman, this time action naman. I really want to learn and learn more about action. Kaya thank you thank you so much Black Rider, GMA, and everyone that supported me,” she expressed.
While transitioning from adult films to action will pose challenges, Khang feels fulfilled learning more about acting through the series.
“It’s so much challenging but the challenge feels good in the heart na I’m knowing more about the craft.”
In “Black Rider: Ikalawang Digmaan,” Khang will portray Nimfa, a villain attempting to steal Elias (Madrid) from Bane (Yassi Pressman).
