Actress KC Concepcion recently extended a request to veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin concerning a past issue involving her mother, the Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Their relationship, known to many, has faced its share of challenges, but the enduring bond between mother and daughter has always prevailed despite any conflicts they encountered.
On the May 6 episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na,’ Cristy Fermin, through her YouTube talk show, shed light on the reason behind the previous discord between Sharon and KC.
Fermin disclosed that one of the conflicts arose when Sharon Cuneta discovered that KC Concepcion had pawned a valuable item belonging to her.
During a recent episode of ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ Fermin’s show on Radyo 5 92.3 TRUE FM, she revealed that KC had requested her to refrain from discussing this past conflict with her mother.
Commending KC for her outreach, Fermin shared how KC politely asked them not to delve further into the issue on their show. “Hindi na po naming uulitin pa ang kuwento dahil alam naming nasaksihan n’yo. Nakakatuwa sa pamamagitan ng isang kaibigan ay nag-reach out si KC, napakaganda ng kanyang pakiusap,” the veteran showbiz insider stated.
She emphasized that she didn’t need to speak with KC directly because, when there is a wound, they know how to heal. Fermin also highlighted the importance of the involved party reaching out or engaging in dialogue to present their side of the story.
“Ayaw ni KC na pag-usapan pa ‘yun dahil matagal na matagal na panahon ng nangyari at pangalawa ayaw niyang may iba pang taong madamay sa isyu, ‘yun lang, di ba ang ganda-ganda?” Fermin remarked.
Fermin’s co-host, Romel Chika, echoed the sentiment, suggesting that addressing the issue early could prevent further speculation. He expressed his hope that more celebrities would follow KC’s example, emphasizing the importance of clear communication to address misunderstandings.
Meanwhile, on May 10, Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan sought assistance from the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office. According to a reporter’s update, they took this step due to baseless and malicious statements circulating about their personal lives and family.

This legal action follows a recent lawsuit filed by actress Bea Alonzo against Cristy Fermin, as well as fellow showbiz insider Ogie Diaz and their respective co-hosts on their showbiz programs.
