The sequel to the hit ABS-CBN teen mystery drama Senior High, ‘High Street,’ has started airing this week. How did it perform in the ratings race?
According to the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, it achieved a decent pilot rating but failed to surpass its rival show, ‘Asawa Ng Asawa Ko (ANAK).’
On Monday, May 13, ‘High Street’ premiered on ABS-CBN’s primetime bida, garnering a rating of 4.8 percent and securing the number 12 spot on the overall ratings chart. This was 0.9 percent lower than ANAK’s rating of 5.7 percent, which placed it at number 10 on the leaderboard.
However, compared to the pilot ratings of its prequel, ‘Senior High,’ ‘High Street’ performed better by 1.2 percent, as ‘Senior High’ registered a 3.6 percent rating during its premiere on August 28, 2023.
Aside from the ratings, ‘High Street’s’ debut also excelled in online views, surpassing the peak concurrent views of its predecessor, ‘Senior High.’ According to Dreamscape Entertainment, High Street recorded a total of 223,053 concurrent views on Monday, which is over 7 thousand more than ‘Senior High’s’ peak of 215,118 during its finale in January 2024.
In a tweet, DreamscapePH thanked all its loyal Kapamilya viewers for the support for the series pilot spisode.
“Maraming Salamat sa mga sumubaybay sa #HighStreetNewEra sa Kapamilya Online Live — 223,053 PEAK CONCURRENT VIEWERS!”
