The red carpet premiere of ‘Chances Are, You and I,’ starring Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger, turned into a star-studded event on May 28, attracting numerous celebrities and industry figures who came to show their support for the film’s lead actors.
Hosted by Jhai Ho, the premiere saw an impressive turnout of stars. Among those who walked the red carpet were Iza Calzado, who looked elegant in black, accompanied by Aya Fernandez in red.
New Sang’gre actresses Angel Guardian and Faith da Silva were also in attendance, along with solo appearances by Herlene Budol and Vivoree Esclito.
Kaila Estrada nearly missed her moment on stage but was called back by Jhai Ho just in time to greet the audience.
Other notable attendees included Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Jane de Leon, JC Santos, and Polo Ravales, adding to the glittering roster of guests.
Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger delivered standout performances, bringing their characters Sol and Gabi to life with authenticity and depth. The film follows their journey as they cope with brain tumors after a family accident, exploring their contrasting views on life and death. Gabi remains hopeful for survival through surgery, while Sol has accepted his fate and refuses treatment.
Director Catherine Camarillo’s vision was effectively realized, with Kelvin and Kira showcasing strong on-screen chemistry. Kira’s emotional performance, particularly in a scene where she learns her mother is still alive, was praised for its realism and impact. Kelvin’s portrayal of Sol was equally compelling, striking the right balance with subtle yet convincing acting.
The film keeps viewers engaged with a suspenseful narrative, leaving them questioning which character might succumb to their illness by the end.
