It seems that GMA Network’s decision to simulcast ‘Black Rider’ on GTV has not positively impacted its ratings, as it continues to trail behind the ratings leader ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ).’
According to the latest rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Black Rider’ remains unsuccessful in surpassing the Kapamilya action-drama series FPJBQ.
On Monday, May 13, with the start of the ‘Black Rider’ simulcast on GTV, it achieved a total combined rating of 11.6 percent, which was 3.4 percent lower than FPJBQ’s 15.0 percent.
The following day, Tuesday, May 14, ‘Black Rider’s ratings slightly dropped to 11.5 percent while its rival Kapamilya series rose to 15.8 percent, increasing the ratings margin to 4.3 percent.
On Wednesday, May 15, ‘Black Rider’ further decreased by 1.2 percent to 10.3 percent. Likewise, FPJBQ also experienced a slight drop to 14.0 percent, narrowing the rating gap to 3.7 percent.
By Thursday, May 16, ‘Black Rider’ recovered slightly, rising by 1.1 percent to 11.4 percent. Meanwhile, FPJBQ increased to 15.0 percent, maintaining a lead of 3.6 percent over ‘Black Rider.’
Will ‘Black Rider’ manage to catch up, given that it’s only the first week of its simulcast on GTV? Or has FPJBQ already captured the broader attention of primetime first-slot viewers and will continue to dominate the ratings game? We’ll see.
