On April 15, budding heartthrob Andres Muhlach, towering at six-foot-two and possessing a talent for basketball, emphasized his commitment to making a name for himself in showbiz.
Despite his stature, which could easily grant him entry into professional basketball, the 22-year-old asserted that basketball remains a beloved hobby, with his true passion lying in acting.
“No naman! I love basketball. It’s a hobby of mine. My whole life I’ve been playing it. But I wouldn’t say that I’m in that level playing like professionally,” the newcomer clarified during a press conference following his solo event after signing with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).
For Andres, acting takes precedence over basketball, which he cherishes more as a pastime than a career pursuit.
“I just really enjoy playing the sport and I enjoy watching it as well. It’s a great bonding time with my family,” he explained.
He elaborated, “It is a way for me and my family to bond especially my dad and my mom too. We always watch a lot of Laker games early in the mornings. And then sometimes we’ll have to watch my favorite team, Phoenix Suns play. So basketball really is what makes me smile.”
While he holds a fondness for the court, Andres’s true passion lies in the world of acting. He is poised to embark on his debut acting venture alongside his family in the upcoming TV5 sitcom ‘Da Pers Pamily.’
