Controversial TV personality Willie Revillame has officially returned to TV5 after sealing a partnership deal with the Kapatid Network and Media Quest Ventures.
The contract signing ceremony, held on April 26, saw the participation of key figures such as MediaQuest Holdings and Cignal TV President Jane Basas, TV5 President Guido Zaballero, MediaQuest Holdings CFO John Andal, and Sienna Olaso.
Expressing his gratitude, Willie acknowledged the network’s willingness to provide him with a second chance. He addressed any lingering doubts about his return, citing his past experiences across various channels.
“Alam ko namang may doubt pa rin, but you have to understand syempre ‘yung mga pinagdaanan—alam niyo naman ‘yung pinagdaanan ko sa ibang channel,” Willie stated, extending his appreciation to his former network, GMA Network, and its executives.
Promising his dedication to both his new program and TV5 as a whole, Willie pledged his support whenever the network requires assistance. He emphasized his willingness to contribute creatively, even without compensation.
“Hindi lang ‘yung bagong programa ko ang aalagaan ko, even TV5. Kung anong maitutulong ko sa TV5, kung anong creativity, ideas, kahit walang bayad I’m willing to do that,” Willie affirmed.
Although the title ‘Wowowin’ will no longer be utilized, Willie assured fans that he would still bring a game show to the network. Currently, brainstorming sessions are underway to develop the concept for his upcoming program.
Willie’s return to TV5 comes after his initial stint with the network from 2010 to 2013. Speculation about his comeback began circulating in March following meetings with TV5 executives.
