Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay are poised to take the lead roles in ‘Princess of City Jail,’ the upcoming series set to grace GMA Afternoon Prime.
During the program’s story conference held on April 5, Sofia and Allen expressed their excitement about venturing into uncharted territory with their roles in a series centered around a city jail.
After the show’s story conference, Sofia reflected that she feels very challenged for she hasn’t done a characterlike someone having grown up in prison. On the other hand, Allen shared his insights into his character, Xavier, a wealthy swimmer, noting the differences from his past roles.

‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’ follows the journey of Princess (Sofia), a young girl raised near a city jail by her adoptive jail guard father. Her life takes a turn when she forms a bond with Xavier (Allen), a rebellious new inmate. As their friendship grows within the confines of the city jail, Xavier becomes instrumental in helping Princess reconnect with her long-lost family.
In addition to Sofia and Allen, the series boasts a stellar cast including Beauty Gonzales, Denise Laurel, and Dominic Ochoa.
Joining the ensemble are Ayen Laurel, Al Tantay, Keempee de Leon, Jean Saburit, Ina Feleo, Joyce Ching, Will Ashley, Radson Flores, Minnie Aguilar, and Lauren King.
‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’ is slated to premiere soon on GMA Afternoon Prime, promising viewers an engaging and riveting narrative.
