A model-gay bar dancer has extended an apology to ‘It’s Showtime’ host Cianne Dominguez and her family after being implicated in an attempted assault case.
The suspect, identified as Shervey Torno, is presently in custody at the Quezon City Police District station, facing charges pressed against him following the incident.
According to reports, Cianne accused Torno of harassment and attempted assault while she was on her way home to her condominium unit in Quezon City.
A video recording taken by the victim captured the suspect hurriedly descending the condo stairs after allegedly issuing threats of police intervention.
In an interview with ’24 Oras,’ Torno admitted to being attracted to the TV host and confessed to asking for a kiss.
Subsequently, Torno expressed his remorse and offered an apology to the victim and her family.
Meanwhile, QCPD District Director PBGen. Red Maranan has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
He urged all victims of violence and harassment to reach out by calling 122 for immediate assistance from law enforcement authorities.
Earlier, Cianne’s father, Johng Florendo, took to social media to report the incident, which occurred on April 11.
In a Facebook post, he shared images of the suspect identified as Shervey S. Torno, also known as Ronnie Gray. He recounted how the suspect followed his daughter to her condo, forcibly preventing the door from closing, and attempting to kiss her.
Florendo also disclosed that his daughter has been deeply traumatized by the incident, urging everyone to pray for her recovery.
