Pokwang has spoken out regarding the deportation of her former partner, Lee O’Brian, stressing the importance of peace of mind for both parties involved.
The Bureau of Immigration confirmed today that Lee was successfully deported back to America on Monday, April 8.
Pokwang expressed her satisfaction, as this was a long-standing desire of hers—to have her former partner deported, as he was working illegally in the country due to the lack of a valid working permit from the Department of Labor and Employment and the Bureau of Immigration.
During an exclusive interview on ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda’ on Thursday, April 11, Pokwang addressed Lee’s situation.
According to Pokwang, Lee’s return to America also brings peace of mind to her, as she had received negative feedback that affected her work while he was in the Philippines.
Bakit ba kami nagtatrabaho? ‘Di para sa anak namin?”
Pokwang admitted that she has closed the chapter of her life involving Lee, but she emphasized that she will not deprive him of his right to be a father to their daughter, Malia.
She also expressed her hope for Lee to have a good future.
“At least for the peace of mind of both sides, makapagtrabaho siya nang maayos. Kasi nga dito, bawal siya magtrabaho, so paano ang buhay niya rito, di ba?” Pokwang concluded.
She added, “Sayang kasi may pinag-aralan naman siyang tao. Gamitin niya yung natapos niya.
