During the press conference for his latest movie, ‘Elevator,’ on April 5, ABS-CBN actor Paulo Avelino revealed that he had to prioritize finding the perfect partner over pursuing a perfect career.
According to one of ABS-CBN’s most popular actors, finding the perfect partner is akin to achieving two goals at once.
“Dahil kapag nahanap mo ang perfect partner mo, parang ano eh, mas desidido kang to thrive, parang everything in your career or whatever it is,” explained the actor.
However, while having a perfect partner is his choice, there must be a balance between love and career. Avelino stressed the importance of saving up and not just focusing on one thing only.
“Because when choosing the right partner, you have to know where the finances go, especially kailangan niyong mag-budget. You need to fix and save for your kids if you have kids. It’s in the middle—it’s a three because it is important to budget and save for the rainy days,” he said.
Meanwhile, in his upcoming film ‘Elevator,’ Avelino portrays a lowly elevator boy who becomes entangled in a love triangle with his boss’ mistress, played by Kylie Versoza. Now, he finds himself torn between love and family.
Directed by Philip King, the movie is set to grace the theaters this April 24.
