Kapuso star Mark Herras has recently addressed speculations about the current status of his career following his focus on family life.
In a candid statement during the latest episode of showbiz insider Ogie Diaz’s vlog on Tuesday, April 2, Herras clarified that he harbors no regrets for prioritizing his family.
“Ako bilang ama at bilang asawa, parang never namang pumasok sa isip ko na magiging dahilan ‘yong pamilya ko at ‘yong pag-focus ko sa anak ko para mawalan ako ng career,” Herras stated emphatically.
“Kung nawalan ako ng career, okay. Kung tingin nila gano’n, wala akong problema dyan. Pero ‘di ko pinagsisisihan ‘yong ginawa ko na parang ibinigay ko ‘yong oras, ibinigay ko ‘yong lahat ng pwede kong panahon sa pamilya ko—lalo na sa mag-ina ko,” he further elaborated.
Herras expressed bewilderment over the notion that starting a family should be equated with career setbacks.
“Kailangan ko ba ng reason o ng katulong para palawakin ‘yong career ko? Kasi magkaiba ‘yon, e. Magkaiba ang buhay-showbiz, magkaiba ang buhay sa totoong buhay,” Herras emphasized.
It’s worth noting that Herras tied the knot with his fiancée, Nicole Donesa, in September 2021 through a civil ceremony held at QC City Hall.
