Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera recently shared on March 21 her candid thoughts on the challenges she faced upon returning to teleserye acting via ‘My Guardian Alien’ after a five-year hiatus.
In an interview at the Luxent Hotel, Rivera admitted to experiencing difficulties as she reacquainted with the demands of the show’s set
“Adjustment? “Kasi after five years, nagbabalik akong soap, hindi ko alam kung saan ang anggulo ko, nasaan ‘yung lighting, so nangapa talaga ako.”
Rivera further explained her initial struggles, particularly in familiarizing herself with the technical aspects of shooting and finding her rhythm on set.
“Even the lines kasi parang medyo nahirapan—parang ang hirap mag-memorize ng lines,” she added.
However, the seasoned actress expressed gratitude for the unwavering support she received from her colleagues and production team, which ultimately eased her transition into the soap opera scene.
The actress plays the alien, 11-1-20-8-5-22-9-12-5, who takes on the form of Katherine Villegas-Soriano. Her character has minimal lines and lacks facial expression, posing an additional challenge for her.
Catch Marian on her return to teleserye in My Guardian Alien, airing this April 1 on GMA Network.
