Veteran actress Marissa Delgado ‘confessed’ on March 19 that a star of ‘My Guardian Alien’ struck fear into her heart: Marian Rivera.
“Noong una, natatakot ako,” Delgado confessed during the show’s press conference at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.
But such fear did not come from Rivera’s attitude on the set nor how the Kapuso Primetime Queen treated her—it was because she admired her.
“Medyo ilag ako, tsaka siguro baka nga dahil tagahanga niya ako. Gandang-ganda ako sa batang ito,” said Delgado.
The veteran could not help but gush over Rivera. She recalled the first time she stepped on the set and saw her co-star.
Delgado added, “Ang ganda! Ang payat!”
That awkwardness she felt began melting as the taping progressed. Now, she is certain they are “close.”
“Minsan lang kami nagkaka-eksena. But lately, this is what I felt: parang close na, getting there ‘yung ganoon. Parang it’s more than just hi, hello. At tsaka noong una, natatakot ako,” concluded Delgado.
Rivera appreciated her colleague’s admiration for her, stating that she is blessed to have made an impact on people.
In ‘My Guardian Alien,’ Rivera plays Katherine Villegas-Soriano and the alien 11-1-20-8-5-22-9-12-5. Delgado, on the other hand, is her in-law.
