Last week marked the premiere of TV5’s newest afternoon drama series, “Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa (LKSL).” How did it fare in the ratings race?
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, LKSL seemed to be gradually warming up with its audience, showing a modest start-off in the ratings game.
On its debut episode on Monday, April 8, the TV5 afternoon drama garnered a 1.3 percent rating, securing the 28th position in the overall ratings. Its competitor, ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP),’ on the contrary, achieved a 10.6 percent rating.
The following day, Tuesday, April 9, LKSL maintained its rating and ranking, remaining in the 28th spot with a 1.3 percent rating.
Midweek, on Wednesday, April 10, the Kapatid afternoon drama series saw a slight improvement, climbing three spots to number 25, with its ratings increasing by 0.4 percent to 1.7 percent.
Thursday, April 11, saw the Kiko Estrada-Sarah Labhati-led series maintain its rating of 1.7 percent but ascend one spot to the 25th position on the overall ratings chart.
However, by the end of its inaugural week, on Friday, April 12, the series experienced a slight decline, slipping to the 27th spot, with its ratings decreasing by 0.3 percent to 1.4 percent.
The pilot episode kicked off with an action-packed scene depicting Norman (portrayed by Kiko Estrada) defending vendors harassed by barangay officers. Additionally, it showcased Tacing’s (Ana Abad Santos) meeting with the vendors on strategies to protect their rights to their stalls, threatened by Benito (Gardo Verzosa).
Will LKSL’s ratings improve in the coming days? Or will it continue to lag behind its competition in the ratings game? We’ll see.
