Resbaker Kim Hewitt was announced as the second grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” on “It’s Showtime” after he received the highest total combined score from the hurados in the competition’s trending grand finals on Saturday (April 20).
“I feel happy and thankful to God and my coach. I also dedicate my win to my mom, who helped me a lot throughout my journey,” he said after he was announced as the newest “TNT Kids” grand champion.
The Dumaguete native received a total combined score of 96.7% in the final round and bested his fellow co-grandfinalists Dylan Genicera(96.6%) and Aliyah Quijoy (96.5%).
As the grand champion, Kim won P500,000, P300,000 worth of learning and home showcase, a management contract under ABS-CBN Music, and a Toym Imao trophy.
Kim won the hearts of the hurados Jason Dy, Frenchie Dy, John Rex Baculfo, Roselle Nava, Christian Bautista, Jamie Rivera, Tutti Caringal, Katrina Velarde, Elha Nympha, and punong hurado Gary Valenciano and secured his victory with his rendition of “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing,” which was also the winning song of the first “TNT Kids” grand champion, John Clyd Talili.
Many Filipinos tuned into “TNT Kids” grand finals as its official hashtag #TNTKidsAngHulingTapatan trended on Twitter.
