Kai Suzon, the boyfriend of ‘It’s Showtime’ host Cianne Dominguez, has spoken out strongly following a disturbing incident involving his girlfriend.
In a series of posts on his Instagram Stories, Suzon expressed gratitude that Dominguez was able to defend herself and emerge unharmed from what he described as an attempted assault. “No one should ever have to endure or face the threat of sexual assault. Good thing my Cianne fought back and nothing serious happened [folded hands emoji],” he shared in a heartfelt post.
Suzon also offered words of support to all survivors of sexual assault, reminding them that they are not alone and emphasizing the importance of resisting such attacks.
However, Suzon’s tone took a more serious turn as he appeared to issue a warning to the suspect, identified as Shervey Torno, also known as Ronnie Gray. “To the guy who sexually assaulted (Shervey Torno), you’re getting what’s coming to you and I will see you soon. An eye for an eye. I’ll do whatever I can in my power if I have to if it means protecting the ones that I love,” he declared.
The incident, which occurred on April 11, came to light when Dominguez’s father, John Florendo, took to Facebook to reveal that his daughter had been traumatized by the event.
According to Florendo, the suspect followed Dominguez to her condominium unit, forcibly preventing the door from closing and attempting to kiss her.
Shervey S. Torno, alias Ronnie Gray, is currently in custody at Quezon City Police District 10 and is facing multiple charges related to the incident.
