However, one of the evening’s most memorable highlights was Garcia’s reunion performance with his original boy band, RBC, which was formed during his early career under the guidance of Maryo J. delos Reyes. Despite pursuing individual paths, the group’s enduring friendship shone through, as they delivered a medley of 2000s songs that delighted the crowd and showcased their past performances.
Following the success of his Manila concert, Garcia took his musical talents to Digos City on March 10 and 11, captivating audiences with his dynamic performances. Directed by Frank Lloyd Mamaril and featuring Tantan Macalla as the musical director, ‘Garth Garcia: Back Home’ was a testament to the artist’s versatility and passion for music.
Garcia’s journey in the music industry has been marked by numerous accolades, including being a finalist in the second season of the Kapamilya singing competition show ‘Star In A Million.’ He has also received prestigious awards such as New Male Recording Artist of the Year at the PMPC Star Awards for Music in 2015, Outstanding Recording Artist Award at the 2016 Asian Excellence Awards, and Best Male Recording Artist of the Year at the 2017 Gawad Musika.
Having relocated to the US, Garcia ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing Starlink Productions, an events business that organizes concerts and events in Los Angeles and beyond. In addition to his musical achievements, Garcia was recognized as a WCOPA medalist in 2019 and received a nomination at the Asians on Film Festival in Hollywood for Best Music Video.
