Fresh off his role in the Vivamax hit ‘TL,’ heartthrob Armani Hector opens up about his experience so far in the world of sexy films.
But how does he handle the feedback—both praise and criticism—that comes with this territory?
Recalling when he got his titular role in “Karinyo Brutal,” the 22-year-old sexy actor shared that he went back to his hometown in Cebu. During a conversation with LionhearTV at the General Assembly of the Philippine Entertainment Bloggers Association on March 26, he recounted the heartwarming reception he received from his family.
“Sobrang grabe ‘yung pag-approach sa akin ng family ko. Nag-thank you sa akin, nag-congrats sa akin, nag-thank you sila kasi binalikan ko sila. Sobrang tagal ko ng hindi bumabalik doon gawa ng busy dito sa manila; sobrang touching,” he shared.
Addressing inquiries from his family about his portrayal of sexy characters in films, Hector emphasized professionalism as his guiding principle.
“Sabi ko sa kanila, be professional, enjoyin mo lang. As long as nandito ka sa showbiz na ito, enjoyin mo lang. Kasi ang dami mong natutunan.”
“One year pa lang ako pero andami ko ng natutunan talaga,” he added.
If there is positive feedback, there are negative ones as well. However, he remains unfazed by criticism, prioritizing his well-being and goals.
“Binabalewala ko lang. Hindi ko pinapansin ang mga negative talaga, kasi ano naman ang gagawin ko sa mga negative na fini-feedback sa akin. Hindi naman ako nagpapaapekto sa kanila. Buhay nila ‘yun eh, buhay ko ‘to. Mas priority ko ang buhay ko, and my career, and my family.”
