GMA Network’s top-rating afternoon series ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap (AKNP)’ is now back to its primetime-like high TV ratings, thanks to its pre-programming, which most likely complemented this ratings boost.
According to the latest rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, AKNP has finally gone back to the 11 percent mark after previously scoring a 9 to 10 percent average.
On Monday, April 15, AKNP registered a rating of 11.4 percent, taking the number 4 position on the overall ratings board. It surpassed the rating of fellow Kapuso primetime series ‘My Guardian Alien’, which placed 6th with a rating of 10.3 percent.
On the following day, Tuesday, April 16, AKNP slowed a bit but still maintained an 11-mark rating at 11.1 percent, maintaining its number 4 ranking on the ratings chart.
On Wednesday, April 17, the Kapuso afternoon drama posted a recovery, adding 0.2 percent to 11.3 percent and sustaining its number 4 spot in the overall ratings leaderboard.
On Thursday, April 18, though, AKNP marked a slight decline, dropping 1 notch to the number 5 spot on the ratings board and posting a rating of 10.4 percent.
AKNP’s resurgence could be attributed to the strong ratings performance of its pre-programming ‘It’s Showtime.’ Prior to ‘It’s Showtime’s’ simulcast airing over GMA Network, AKNP has rarely reached ratings beyond 10 percent ratings, especially during ‘Tahanang Pinakamsaya’s’ stint in the Kapuso noontime slot.
Can AKNP sustain this new resurgence? We’ll see.
