Jillian Ward believes that there are three key reasons for the lasting success of ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap’: camaraderie, the production team, and the show’s relatability.
During a press conference in Davao del Sur on March 16, Ward highlighted camaraderie as one of the main factors contributing to the show’s success in its second year.
“So I think ang secret po talaga is ‘yung camaraderie po ng cast. I mean, grabe, sobrang close po talaga namin lahat. I mean after po ng oarang sabunutan, sampalan, sa isang eksena, pagka-cut na po no’n, nagti-tiktok na po kami. Mostly, sabay-sabay po kami kumain; iba po talaga ‘yung bonding. I think ‘yun po talaga ‘yung isa sa pinaka-sikreto kung bakit tumagal ang show.”
Amidst the laughter and shared moments on set, the Kapuso actress who plays Dra. Analyn Santos in the series emphasized the importance of having a wonderful production team.
“More than that, siyempre po ‘yung mga writers namin, sina Direk, talagang full efforts po sila sa story po ng ‘Abot na Kamay na Pangarap,’” she added.
Additionally, Ward found the series inspirational to viewers, with parents and students in the medical field sharing their aspirations with them.
While she hopes the series will be extended further, the actress sees its realistic topics as another factor contributing to its longevity. Through the characters’ journeys, the show resonates with individuals facing similar struggles and aspirations, fostering a sense of connection and empowerment among viewers of all ages.
“I think more than ‘yung closeness namin and sa story, I think kasi marami pong nakaka-relate talaga.
