Pop Star Royalty Sarah Geronimo made a dazzling appearance on the red carpet at the prestigious Billboard Women in Music event, eliciting excitement from her legion of fans.
Geronimo, the acclaimed Filipino pop superstar, is set to be bestowed with the esteemed Global Force award by Billboard Philippines during the gala.
Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Geronimo shared her thoughts on the significance of being acknowledged as a global force.
“It’s very unexpected, I mean, to be considered a global force. For me, a global force means having that power to influence people. And it also comes with a big responsibility, right? You have to be mindful with the materials that you are going to put out there. So you have to create change and positivity towards other people,” Geronimo articulated during an interview amidst the musical festivities.
Taking a poignant moment to pay tribute to women, especially mothers, Geronimo extended heartfelt appreciation to her own mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo.
“Women are beautiful, women are strong. Now that I am married, I understand how marriage can be difficult sometimes… But women, especially mothers out there — shoutout to my mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo, you are the best, you are my hero, I love you very much. I mean I cannot imagine myself being a mother, all the sacrifices that a mother has to do for their child, it’s mind-blowing,” she expressed, accompanied by her supportive husband, actor Matteo Guidicelli.
Geronimo emphasized the honor she felt in representing the Philippines at such a prestigious event. “I am truly honored to be here to represent our country and our music, the Filipino music. Mabuhay ang OPM!” she concluded with pride.

Earlier reports hinted at a reconciliation between Sarah and her mother, facilitated by Viva boss Vic Del Rosario in January of this year. Geronimo’s loyal fans showed unwavering support for their idol, with the hashtag #GlobalForceSarahG gaining traction on social media platforms.
In addition to Geronimo, the Billboard Women in Music gala will also recognize 12 other influential women in the music industry, with Karol G being named this year’s Woman of the Year. Notable honorees include Charli XCX, Ice Spice, Newjeans, and Kylie Minogue.
