Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera was all praises to co-star Gabby Concepcion on March 19, after finally getting the chance to work with him in the upcoming Kapuso series ‘My Guardian Alien.’
During the show’s press conference at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City with fellow cast members Gabby Eigenmann, Max Collins, Raphael Landicho, and others, Rivera began by sharing how comfortable she was working with the actor.
“Napakagaan katrabaho ni kuya eh,” she said. “Parang kumbaga sa pagkain, walang tulak-kabigin sa kanya. Napakabait katrabaho, napakagaan katrabaho.”
The actress also appreciated their moments, including how the actor was on set.
“Tsaka ‘yung mga moment namin, mahilig siyang mag-joke eh. Ginagawa niyang light talaga ang mga pagkakataon. Tapos may mga pagkakataon na na-appreciate ko siya na pinag-uusapan namin ang mga buhay-buhay namin.”
Rivera even went as far as saying she would love to swap lives with Concepcion, even just for a day.
“Kung mayroon ka mang gustong isang cast sa inyo na gusto mong magpalit kayo for one day, sabi ko, siya. Kasi nakita ko kung gaano niya kamahal ang pamilya niya, at ‘yun ang na-appreciate niya. Napakabuti niyang tao.”
The tandem of Rivera and Concepcion finally pushed through via the series. She was supposed to star in ‘First Yaya’ but backed out because of family reasons. She also revealed how the network tried to bring them together on a series four times before it finally happened.
‘My Guardian Alien’ is under the direction of Zig Dulay. The series which will begin airing on April 1 also includes Kiray Celis, Arnold Reyes, Tanya Gomez, Tart Carlos, Marissa Delgado, Christian Antolin, Josh Ford, Caitlyn Stave, Sean Lucas, and Kirst Viray.
