GMA Network achieved its first victory in the noontime slot since the departure of TAPE Inc.’s ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’

In the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, GMA’s newest noontime offering, ‘Lunchtime Movie Hits (LMH),’ clinched its inaugural triumph over competitors ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘EAT…Bulaga,’ thanks to the popular KathNiel movie ‘The Hows of Us.’
On its second airing day on Saturday, March 9, ‘Lunchtime Movie Hits’ featuring ‘The Hows of Us’ secured a rating of 4.4 percent, claiming the 12th spot in the overall ratings chart. Close behind was former leader ‘EAT…Bulaga’ with a rating of 4.3 percent, followed by ‘It’s Showtime’ with 3.8 percent.
This marks GMA Network’s return to the top spot in the noontime competition, after its previous show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ consistently lagged behind heavyweight rivals ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘EAT…Bulaga.’
Meanwhile, on Friday, March 8, ‘Lunchtime Movie Hits’ debuted with the Vice Ganda movie ‘The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.’ On its premiere day, the show garnered a rating of 3.3 percent, trailing ‘It’s Showtime’s’ 3.8 percent and ‘EAT…Bulaga’s’ 4.4 percent.
Will ‘Lunchtime Movie Hits’ maintain its lead in the noontime slot? Only time will tell.
