The record-breaking feats mark Primetime Bida’s strongest line ups, since the ABS-CBN franchise denial, in 2020.
It is raining double digits for Linlang, The Teleserye Version. After setting a brand new record on Wednesday, March 6, with a 10.5 people rating, according to Nielsen Philippines, the Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino-starrer, went on to break its own record anew, on Thursday, March 7, with an ultra-impressive 10.7, versus 7.8 of rival show, Love.Die.Repeat. The figures mark a back-to-back post-shutdown highs, for any Kapamilya show airing on the second primetime slot (8:45 PM).
Similarly, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s Can’t Buy Me Love, continues to impress on its new timeslot. On Thursday, the Star Creatives-produced primetime romcom, pulled off a 7.1 people rating, the highest for any Kapamilya show, on the 9:30 PM slot, since the ABS-CBN franchise denial. The series notably only extended its leadership on the timeslot, trumping rival Kapuso shows, Asawa Ng Asawa Ko and Black Rider (delayed telecast), 7.1 to 5.9 and 2.4, respectively.
It is worth noting that Linlang The Teleserye Version has only been replicating its phenomenal success of its Prime Video run, last year. Likewise, Can’t Buy Me Love, continues to transcend its success on Netflix to primetime television, marking an impressive milestone for the so-called ‘New Gen Phenomemal Love Team’, DonBelle.
