GMA Network’s newest afternoon drama series, ‘Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law (LMAAL),’ made its debut this week, and its performance in TV ratings has garnered attention.
According to the latest ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, LMAAL had a strong start in the ratings, securing the second spot as the most-watched daytime program.
On Monday, March 4, LMAAL premiered with an 8.4 percent rating, claiming the seventh position in the overall ratings, just 1.4 percent behind the daytime leader and fellow Kapuso show, ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap,’ which recorded a 9.8 percent rating.
The pilot ratings for LMAAL matched those of its predecessor, ‘Stolen Life,’ which also achieved an 8.4 percent rating during its premiere on November 13, 2023.
In the pilot episode of LMAAL, viewers witnessed the young Lilet (portrayed by Jo Berry) developing an interest in the law. Ramir (Martin Del Rosario) left the infant Lilet outside the house with a letter stating that the child was his.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Jo Berry, the lead star of the series, expressed her gratitude for being entrusted with another significant project by the Kapuso network.
“Thankful po. Kagaya nga po ng lagi kong sinasabi, alam ko naman kung gaano kalaki yung magagastos and yung effort ng lahat ng tao kapag sumugal sila sa isang artista. Kaya grateful po ako.
“Kaya araw-araw sa taping na ginagalingan ko, isa po yung tiwala ng mga boss na binigay sa akin, yung mga writers.

“Kasi, hindi naman po ako mapupunta dito kung hindi dahil sa kanila.”
Starring Jo Berry alongside Sheryl Cruz, Troy Montero, Bobby Andrews, EA Guzman, and others, ‘Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law’ airs Monday to Friday at 3 p.m. on GMA Network.
