Comedienne Kakai Bautista chose to remain tight-lipped regarding the speculated return of Thai actor Mario Maurer to the Philippines.
During an interview with ABS-CBN News, Bautista declined to offer her thoughts, citing legal advice.
“My lawyer doesn’t allow me to comment regarding such issues,” she stated.
Maurer recently sparked interest in his potential comeback to the Philippines during his appearance at the 17th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong. He expressed his willingness to return to the country if given the opportunity.
This statement reignited discussions, particularly in light of the past controversy between Bautista and Maurer’s management team in 2021.
At that time, Maurer’s team reportedly instructed Bautista to avoid mentioning the actor’s name in her future media engagements.
Maurer’s previous collaboration with Bautista in the 2012 Star Cinema film ‘Suddenly It’s Magic,’ alongside Erich Gonzales, adds further intrigue to his potential return and its implications for both actors.
