If there’s one thing Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz are looking forward to in their upcoming ‘Sparkle Goes to Canada’ tour, it is the love of Filipinos.
The real-life couple, also known as JulieVer to their fans, experienced the welcoming arms of Global Pinoys during the ‘Taste of Manila’ event last August.
For them, having a crowd of “half a million” makes their hearts happy.
“So, first time po namin na maka-experience ng ganoong klaseng crowd na talagang sobrang saya, na talagang nage-enjoy sila, nanonood. Nakakatuwa kasi ang dami po talagang Pilipino doon; ang daming mga Kapuso, mga Global Pinoys,” said San Jose during the tour’s media conference at GMA 7 Studio on March 12.
Cruz also added that it was one of the happiest experiences they had. Having felt the hospitality and the longing, the dancer-actor was glad to once again be able to bring these Filipinos closer to home.
“Ramdam nila ‘yung…siyempre doon sila nagwo-work, nami-miss na nila ‘yung mga family nila dito, and sa simpleng paggawa ng ganitong show, malaking parte iyon para sa buhay nila at para sa amin. So, excited na kaming makabalik sa kanila.”
JulieVer is joined by Kapuso love teams Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali, as well as Barbie Forteza and David Licauco. The show is directed by Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, and will begin on April 5 at the Southview Alliance Church in Calgary. The Sparkle tour will also have another on April 7, this time, at the Toronto Pavilion.
