Janella Salvador is set to dazzle audiences with her upcoming concert, ‘Janella Reimagined: The 10th Anniversary Concert,’ where the highly-anticipated event will showcase her musical talents.
The concert’s title was derived from her desire to show people her “many sides.”

“Definitely, given the name, the title, ‘Reimagined,’ we thought of something that could perfectly describe what I want to show people right now,” she said during the concert’s media conference at the Dolphy Theater on March 19.
“Many people know me more as an actress. I like there’s so many sides of me that people haven’t seen. So, this is why we named it ‘Reimagined’ coz’ we wanna challenge people’s imagination na, I’m more than what you have imagined, and I don’t like to be put in a box,” she added.
The actress said that music has shaped her life. Having musicians Jenine Desiderio and Juan Miguel Salvador as parents, Janella has been exposed to the music industry since she was young.
It was her mother though who encouraged her to pursue singing, the singer-actress recalled.
“When I was a kid, my mom would really take me to all her gigs, her concerts. She pushed me because she knew that I really loved to sing.”
Being a successful interpreter for the Himig Handog song ‘Mahal Kita Pero’ and the transformative experience of making her first album made her realize that she could do more.
All hands on deck when it comes to music
Now age 25, and more than 10 years in showbusiness, Salvador’s music has matured alongside her autonomy as a singer.
“From now on, everything that you guys will hear from me, everything that I will put out in terms of music, lahat ‘yan talagang binusisi ko. Right now, I’m very hands-on, that’s the difference.”
Echoing the importance of emotional connection in her music, Janella stressed, “I think important din na when you’re a singer na you are able to convey emotions through every line, every note. So, when I’m singing, ganoon din. Siguro, talagang ninanamnam ko rin ang kanta.”
The ‘Reimagined’ concert also represents a significant milestone in her career, symbolizing years of dedication and hard work.
“This concert is something that I’ve been working my entire life for,” Janella expressed eagerly. “Finally, magagawa ko na siya and hopefully my hard work pays off.”
As for her acting career, Salvador will take a short break from television to focus on her music.
“Pahinga muna ako sa TV for now, for this year maybe. But, I will probably [act] next year,” the singer-actress said.
Fans, however, will get to see her in the movie ‘Under Parallel Skies’ on April 17. Meanwhile, her concert will be on April 19.

‘Janella Reimagined: The 10th Anniversary Concert’ will feature her mom, Martin Nievera, Marlo Mortel, Darren Espanto, Jane De Leon, as well as drag queens Arizona Brandy, Brigiding, Lady Morgana, and Miss Jade So. She will also have a surprise guest in store for the attendees.
The concert will be held at the New Frontier Theater, with tickets starting at P1,200 available via Ticketnet outlets or ticketnet.com.ph.
