Singer-actress Janella Salvador on March 19 aims to use music to inspire and empower women.
Asked after her upcoming concert ‘Janella Reimagined: The 10th Anniversary Concert’ press conference at the Dolphy Theater what other things she hoped to achieve by focusing on music, Salvador wanted to be an inspiration to others.
“I think one of the best things in life that we can do is to inspire people by just being who we are,” she replied. “I am very grateful that—siguro ‘yun din ang isa sa mga goal ko na maka-inspire ako.”
Being a celebrity, “people can easily call” them influencers. But according to Salvador, there are many “influencers” without any particular goal.
As a personality with influence, she wants to give women strength through music, just like what it did to her. With music, she learned to be in control of what she wanted and be a strong woman.
She believes celebrities have a platform to inspire positive change, and she aims to use hers to empower women.
“So I wish to bring those kinds of influences na ma-empower ang mga women, to be more confident, strong, and assertive.”
Meanwhile, her ‘Reimagined’ concert marks the late celebration of her tenth year in the industry. The concert is expected to showcase songs that celebrate female strength and confidence, along with Janella’s personal journey of empowerment.
Tickets for the concert will start at P1,200 and are available via Ticketnet outlets or on its website. “Janella Reimagined: The 10th Anniversary Concert” will begin on April 19 at the New Frontier Theater.
